Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an indie game developed by Ember Labs and is slated for release on August 24, 2021. It is without a doubt my most anticipated game this year and I just want to show it some love before it’s release.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action adventure game set in a charming world rich with exploration and fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of tiny spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.
The Premise
Kena, a young Spirit Guide, travels to an abandoned village in search of the sacred mountain shrine. She struggles to uncover the secrets of this forgotten community hidden in an overgrown forest where wandering spirits are trapped. As a Spirit Guide, Kena uses her magic abilities to help deceased people move from the physical world to the spirit world.
Rot
Rot are timid and ellusive spirits scattered throughout the forest. They maintain balance by decomposing dead and rotting elements. The goal here is to find and collect Rot to gain powerful abilities, make discoveries, and transform the environment.
Art Style
As of right now, this is about all we know about the game. I’d like to leave you with some images of the games art style. It’s beyond beautiful and I really like the art direction.
